Father-son team Ross and Keith Johnson started Innovative Basement Authority (IBA) in 2005. Keith led the growth of the business and expanded to multiple offices in Minnesota and North Dakota. In 2019, IBA partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company to invest more into their business and their employees. Zach, Jerry, Rich, and Dema (not sure on spelling) just finished installing replacement egress Windows and new window wells at our home in NW MN. They finished the job in one day, were courteous, and answered any questions we had. They explained how everything tied into our drain tile, and their attention to clean up and detail was awesome. This is the 2nd time we have used Innovative Basement for house projects and we would recommend to anyone looking for help with their basement or foundation. Thanks Zach and crew!!

Dustin Latterell was amazing- one of the most courteous and thorough experts I’ve had in my home. He went way above and beyond- took time to share his expertise and make sure I clearly understood the state of my existing system but also everything about the rest of my home- he took careful measurements and was able to put together drawings and specifications while still on site. He took extra care to sit down with me and run through everything he did and all of the recommendations based on the inspection. We talked about what projects that could be advantageous to do now and others that could be done later. Very informative and no-pressure conversation. I know a lot more about my house and garage and the current state of the foundation, and he was able to take a look at my deck and propose a couple quick and easy options that would prevent further sinking without ripping out the deck or yard or a bunch of construction. I genuinely felt like he was treating my house like it was his own- an exceptional level of care. It’s people like Dustin that really make the difference when choosing who to trust with this kind of work. 11 out of 10. Real pros

I had a problem with water coming into my basement over a half sill wall, Dave Anderson came and diagnosed the problem. Gregg P. and Kyle W. filled the void under the concrete slab with foam, checked for proper slope and drainage away from the house, and they caulked all potential problem areas thoroughly. All three were friendly, knowledgeable, informative and did the job efficiently, neatly with proper clean up. Thanks and 5 stars for all.

Ben A , Groundworks Service Technician came by today for a check and maintenance visit today of our Groundworks installed products – Basement water tiles and pumps plus our Basement Support Beams. We were impressed by Ben’s professionalism and attention to detail. He gave a common sense explanation to all the work he was performing, while he was doing it. He left everything as he found it , but in better condition. Looking forward to our next annual inspection so Groundworks products keep being well maintained.
