The owner of this home had some serious concerns about the problems in his basement, as well as some specific requirements for how to solve them. First, because the homeowner wanted his space to be finished after the waterproofing project, he requested that the sump pump not be part of the livable space. And because the basement’s water problem had been going on for quite some time, the homeowner wanted the job done as quickly as possible to limit the exposure of the small children who lived in the home to mold. With these concerns in mind, Team Innovative set about providing a solution that met the homeowner’s needs.
Innovative sent two crews to help the homeowner with his basement problem. The first crew dealt with the water problem, installing a BasementGutter drainage system to direct any water towards the sump pump. The old sump was replaced with a new SafeDri ProX, which was installed in a storage room to keep it out of the living space.
The second crew gutted the basement to prepare it for finishing. They installed our water- and mold-resistant wall panels to prevent moisture from damaging the new living space. The crew also installed our floor tiles, also water-resistant, to transform the basement into a comfortable living space.
The homeowner was very happy that Innovative completed the job in only two weeks. He told us that his mother started a project with a different contractor nearly a year ago, and the job is still not finished.
